The Brandywine Center Summer Dance Camp Program
Register no later than April 15, 2008. See the receptionist for a medical release form and camp application forms. All applications must include registration fee of $50.00. Off-campus performances every Friday.

Daily dance technique and choreography
Scenery and set design
Costuming and stage make-up classes
Drama skills: Improvisation, Scene Study, Vocal Projection, Stage Blocking
Song and Dance Classes: Off-campus each Friday.
Free extended day for all current Brandywine Center for Dance Students
Camp $135.00-unlimited students pay only registration fee

Choreography/Small Group:
Students learn song and dance routines to be used in the camp show. Older students assist with choreography.

Snack/Craft Project:
Puppets, crowns and animal masks. Older students build scenery and more complex costumery.

Drama Techniques and Improvisation:
Vocal warm-ups and performance skills:
Vocal exercises are taught to enhance both singing and speaking voice. Presentation of musical selections as well as monologues facilitate our performing skills. Corrections and suggestions are given to each student each day to better presentation skills in front of the group.
Basic stage blocking and direction as well as studies in characterization. Younger children work extensively with fun improvisations and basic stage directions. Projection and enunciation techniques are taught to all students.

Stage Makeup Workshop: Learn how to make your features more well-defined under the intense stage lights and all the professional tricks of the trade. Animal faces can be fun, too!
2:15-3:00
Script work: Students work together on scenes each day to be presented to each other at the end of the day.
