Hip Hop Programs
Jessica Castagna, Artistic Director
Finding her love of dance early in life, Jesse began her dance education in New York City and continued studying in Los Angeles. In addition to her classes at Brandywine Center for Dance, she also teaches at Goldey-Beacom College and Tower Hill School in Delaware. She has a strong belief in providing her students with dance education that builds confidence, passion and the desire to learn. She is also the founder of the Brandywine Hip Hop Company, the first professional dance company of its kind in Delaware. Brandywine Hip Hop Company was featured in a recent issue of Spark! magazine, and can be seen at some of the hottest events in the Tri-State area.
Hip Hop Instruction l
This style of dance incorporates basic jazz with funky, freestyle street dancing. Edited, kid-safe versions of popular music are used in fun choreography and a great workout for children aged 9-11.
Attire: Black leotard, black jazz pant and black jazz Oxford.

Hip-Hop Instruction ll
This class, for 11-13 year-olds with a minimum of five years' dance experience, is a competition-level company class. Choreography is taught for competition and other outside performances.
Attire: Black leotard, black jazz pant, black jazz sneaker ("Bloch" style, S0538B).

Hip-Hop Instruction lll
An open-level class for students aged 13-adult. All are welcome! Intense workout and edgy, contemporary choreography is taught in this class.
Attire: Casual, sneakers okay. Performers must wear Bloch S0538B.

Professional-level classes open to adults only. Professional company choreography taught during this class.
